About this idea
Dough on a table, in trays, with rolling pins of several sizes and anything from the loose-parts box that makes an imprint — shells, buttons, a Lego brick, the end of a pen. It is the strongest sensory activity in the room for children who find pens and paper hard. Fresh dough every session; old dough goes stiff and the whole table stops. Flour on the cloth rather than in the dough, and a towel for hands that want to wipe.
